Clothes Designer, Writer, Author, Traveler
I was born in Oregon, and later moved east. As a kid, books, movies and music were passions along with drawing pictures of clothes and writing for school papers. I received a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy in 1954, and worked in clinics, hospitals and homes. Marriage to my geologist husband, Bill took us to Colorado to complete his degree at the School of Mines. We toured the southwest and Mexico. Later we sailed on a freighter to Africa for Bill’s first job. I wrote about the country and enrolled in The Famous Writers’ School. Leaving Africa 4 years later, Bill, I and daughter Pamela visited Europe and England. We have since lived in Golden with my 3 daughters . Among my published works are stories, poetry, technical reports, magazine and newspaper articles. I have journaled most of my travels. SEAN’S SECRET ROOM is my first published book. ~Pat Reid
Writing The Book
Here’s how it happened. I was inspired while staying at The Tarabino Inn in Trinidad, Colorado which is over 100 years old. I found a closet under the roof that felt spooky. A story suddenly occurred to me about a modern boy who met a ghost there. They traveled back in time to when the ghost lived, and had many adventures.
